I am passionate about working with children, adolescents, and young adults in their journey to improve their health, find connection, and enjoy these structural years of life.
I am an associate professor in Psychiatry at Columbia University Medical Center and the Medical Director of the Adolescent, and Young Adult Program at the New York State Psychiatric Institute Wellness Equity Center.
I’m a bicultural, bilingual English-Spanish, board certified adult, child and adolescent psychiatrist; with over a decade of experience working with youth from early childhood through young adulthood. I have extensive expertise with psychopharmacological treatment, as well as different psychotherapy modalities including play therapy, insight oriented therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and motivational interviewing.
I am committed to working collaboratively with youth, and their families to find treatment options that align with their values and unique life experiences.
